The Marathon Pilot's Chronograph Search and Rescue (CSAR) is a multi purpose tactical watch designed to be used for dives, Search and Rescue missions, as well as flights. Handmade in La Chaux de Fonds Switzerland, the CSAR is crafted to guarantee the highest level of quality and accuracy.
Marathon is also best known for using perpetually and autonomously glowing Tritium gas tubes to illuminate the dials. The CSAR uses Tritium on each hour marker and hand. Tritium is a trusted source of illumination for military equipment, from watches to aeronautical displays, firearm sights, and binoculars. Tritium tubes glow on their own without the need for charging by an external light source, and will not fade in brightness making it an ideal configuration for nighttime or low light operation.
